Mel Healy
Head of Content

Mel left university with a first-class degree in English Language and Linguistics and went straight into working in a busy police press office.
This involved liaising with local and national journalists daily on some pretty heavy topics. As first jobs go, this was like freefalling from a plane without a parachute, but it set her up for a successful career in marketing and PR. Shortly after starting with SYP she got her CIM diploma in marketing.
After more than ten years as a marketing manager working for organisations across various industries, she left employment behind and struck out on her own as a freelance writer.
When she saw a job advertised at Marketing Labs, Mel jumped at the chance to apply (despite not looking for a job at the time). As head of content, she is responsible for planning and writing SEO content and website copy for our clients.
Mel has two children and a very energetic dog, so she doesn’t have any spare time, but if she did, she’d spend it wandering around Europe’s art galleries. Instead, she has to make do with collecting and reading art books.
